Program: 162 Hectares Residential Manster Plan
The key is to develop a design and plan where water could be retained and
enable the surrounding landscape to be more self-sustaining while at the same
time providing an amenity for the community living there.
Our proposal is an intermediate design scale between the urban plan and that
of the dwelling unit. It is the scale of the building block or “cluster,” which
mediates the ideas of the site plan to the operation, mechanics, and technology
of the house.
The spatial diversity of the site is created through the combination of four basic
building modules, each of which can be a combination of the few unit types.
To make the construction process more efficient, the units themselves can accommodate
different market need, and a variety in architectural form is created
from a single structural model.
