The Bund, a global economic junction and one of the most attractive urban landscapes in the world— these are the things for which the Bund is well known. There is much more to the Bund, however, that is much less well known. We believe the hidden attractiveness of the Bund is the reason it was selected by the Huangpu District for development by way of a new master plan. The Bund is the gateway to Shanghai and to China. Its many historical buildings, economic viability, and multi-cultural background constitutes an area of rich cultural heritage.

Here, this proposal presents our four strategies to redevelop the Bund: Bund Historic Walking Trail, New Public Space, Animated Street Life, and the Bund As a Brand on the global market. This proposal intends to present the “new vision” of the Bund with many faces. We invite you to explore with us these diverse faces, and to experience the new vision through our planning strategies.
