Program: 650-Key and 3000sqm Ballroom Conference Center

With respect to the visual appearance of the Power Station, the design breaks down the massive 700 modules building block into three separate towers and creates open spaces between. The height of each tower steps down toward the river front, allowing an interactive and special relationship to pedestrians walking along the site or for those on the river’s far bank. This arrangement embraces the Power Station as the main focus and creates an interactive sequence of views along the river front.

For the public space, that has been formulated first, then the space is structured by the buildings. The structure, ballroom and roof act as a continuing folding canopy that blurs inside, outside, light, vision, and space. It encourages each individual to orchestrate the place for their own experience.
